Pleased to have received this lovely article in the Capitol Hill Seattle blog. So great that it includes some of the cultural history of the area. Our gallery is housed in a turn-of-the 20th century building with a rich background of art and culture, and it’s been fun learning about our past. Brangien Davis, arts and culture editor of CrossCut, shared with me that the building’s legacy includes being home to Avant Garde performance and theater spaces and the Northwest Film Forum’s “Little Theatre.” Folks who stop by the gallery also share their memories of the space’s former incarnations, which is meaningful as so many people have varying connections to the space. We’re really delighted to be carrying on the rich tradition of providing a home for diverse artistic expressions.
