AMcE’s artist Jennifer Vanderpool was recently featured in two notable, international exhibitions. Jennifer will be featured in our March 2024 exhibition Oh So Rosy.
Untold Stories: Liverpool at the Victoria Gallery & Museum, Liverpool, UK, 2023
As a US-UK Fulbright Artist Fellow at the University of Liverpool 2020 – 2022, Jennifer investigated relationships between her ongoing exploration of deindustrialized Midwest cities and those in the Industrial North of England through a photographic and video narrative project that included stories told by noted American and British authors, scholars, and activists.
Last November, Jennifer’s work was included in Architecture, Factories, and (Re)Tracing the Modern Dreamas part of Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2023 at the Gia Lam Train Factory, Long Bien Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam. Her site-specific installation included six, 3; x 6’ panels on linen mounted under the factory floor
Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2023 was jointly organized by the municipal People’s Committee, the Architecture Magazine under the Vietnam Association of Architects, and the municipal Department of Culture and Sports with the support of UNESCO Office in Hanoi, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), international organizations, businesses, creators and artists.
