Woodland Park Zoo Seattle WA
Otter hanging out

Before I opened and when I was first dreaming up my exhibition program and brainstorming possible event ideas and partners, I knew that for HUMAN/ANIMAL the Woodland Park Zoo was top of my list. (Animals!)

I am pleased to share that we will partner with the Woodland Park Zoo for an interactive afternoon on Saturday, June 4 from 1p – 3p. This is our first event designed with kids/families in-mind, but we certainly won’t exclude our adult friends.

6/4   Art with a Heart: Interactive Workshops with Woodland Park Zoo #IAmLivingNorthwest

“Enjoy an engaging conversation with a Woodland Park Zoo team member about the importance of coexisting with local wildlife. This unique workshop will feature artful activities where you can create your own urban/suburban streetscapes showcasing animals, plants and people through the use of images and drawing, and make an all-ages craft that will help birds in your neighborhood. It’s an opportunity for art and the understanding of the importance of creating a healthy, thriving northwest for humans and wildlife alike, to come together.”

The event is free and open to the public. Our capacity is limited, and RSVPs will be required.

Sign up will be on our Eventbrite page (tickets will go on sale in May). You can follow our Eventbrite page to get our event notifications.
