Amber Mustafic
As a first generation Albanian-American, decorative and functional textiles have always been in the background of Amber’s life. She grew up surrounded by crocheted doilies, embroidered tablecloths, cross-stitch artwork, and delicately woven towels all handmade by her mother, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Amber blends her ancestral craft with her love for creative, emotional expression. Originally trained as a painter, Amber discovered her love for embroidery during her 2020 fellowship at Colorado College.
Amber was born in NYC and grew up in Rye, NY. She studied art history and museum studies at Colorado College, receiving her BA in 2019.
