Esther Pearl Watson
Esther Pearl Watson is a Los Angeles-based painter and comic artist. Her graphic novel UNLOVABLE is published by Fantagraphics. The comic also ran regularly in BUST Magazine for over 15 years. Her paintings have been exhibited widely including at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, the Oakland Museum of California. She is represented by Vielmetter Projects in Los Angeles, Maureen Paley in London and Webb Gallery in Texas.

Safer at Home: Pandemic Paintings 2020
This catalog documents the complete series of over 150 paintings Esther created for her 2021 show at Vielmetter Projects, Los Angeles. Begun in March of 2020, the series spans the timeline of the Covid pandemic, through a diaristic narrative ending in November with an election and a vaccine on the horizon.
