The gallery is also hosting a day of celebrating the art book in all is various forms and expressions. We’re having an in-gallery pop-up with various PNW art book, zine and comix creators and a panel discussion with some of Seattle’s leaders and cheerleaders in the art book and comix community. AMcE is please to host a limited-edition Art Book Pop-Up featuring a collection of local creators of art books and zines. Participants include:

Following the pop-up will be a State-of-the-ArtBook, an informal conversation with some of Seattle’s esteemed proponents, independent printers, publishers and makers of art books, monographs, pamphlets, zines and comix.
Panelists include Kelly Froh, founder Short Run Comix & Arts Festival, artist Brandon Vosika, Amelia and Adam Greenhall of ANEMONE, Tom Eykemans and Jayme Yen of the Seattle Art Book Fair. Read more about the panelists here.
Topics will include the form, care, materials, resources, and processes for producing art books and comics, as well as ways to get your book/s to market. The conversation will be moderated by Tom and Jayme.
